Are you getting married?
Wedding season is upon us and what a great time of the year to review the latest fashion in Wedding Dresses and Gowns. Throughout the fashion forecasts we have come across a few styles of dresses that stand out the most! Lacey - the classical yet elegant look that has been brought back in the spot light thanks to Kathrine Middleton with more sheer and elegant version of the classical look with more enthusiasm and flare, romantic but subtle details. Color - in addition to classic white, we are seeing more and more of subtle coloring in the wedding gowns and dresses. These colors are light and subtle Greens, Silvers and Off White or Ivory. The 2012-2013 catwalks for the dresses and gowns are full of color and the interesting color contrast between the Brides maid dresses and Flower Girl dresses open up a whole new array of colors to the traditional wedding gown. Necklines - the classic necklines known as sweetheart dresses are also visible in the 2012-2013 runaways with subtle beads and often with sheer lace. This is the beauty of fashion - you can take any design of dresses and make it yours and please make sure to look fabulous

International Trade and World Market
Back in October 2011 United States Congress passed three long-awaited free trade agreements with South Korea, Colombia and Panama.
The approval of these deals became a major victory for President Obama as well as all of the proponents that view foreign trade as a machine that can drive America’s economic growth. These trade deals are important primarily as a political achievement, and solidifying relationships with strategic allies, however, the economic benefits are projected to be small. It was estimated in 2007 that the impact on employment would be “negligible” and that the deals would increase gross domestic product by about $14.4 billion, which is about 0.1%.
Under special regulations that govern the consideration of trade deals, Congress had only 90 days to approve or reject the agreements, without a possibility to amend the terms.
Trade agreements lower the price of American products and services in foreign markets — and foreign products and services in U.S. — by eliminating taxes. Economists say that the overall benefits are substantial, but the outcomes for individuals are much more varied.
Currently United States has free trade agreements with seventeen countries, including Mexico and Canada.
The agreement with South Korea could potentially increase annual sales of American goods such as dairy products, pork, poultry, chemicals and plastics — by up to $11 billion. The agreement with Colombia, a much smaller trading partner, would increase annual demand for American goods by about $1 billion.
In 2006, The Bush administration completed negotiation of these three agreements, but approval was denied by Congressional Democrats. In 2009 president Obama lifted the agreements from the dustbin as an effort to revive U.S. economy. In order to address the concerns of opponents, the administration renegotiated provisions in each of the trade agreements.
Yet the progress got halted again over the fate of a modest and obscure benefits program called Trade Adjustment Assistance, where government has provided benefits to those workers who lost their jobs to foreign competition.

Mobile vs. Social
As the Mobile Commerce Soars, the Social Shopping is in decline.
Social shopping took an unpredicted decline in this year’s second quarter, according to a recent report released by IBM.
The report analyzed over 500 U.S. retailers from April through June of this year.
Social shopping is defined as purchases initiated by click-throughs from a social-media site, such as Twitter or Facebook, versus using social media simply for marketing or consumer engagement.
Retailers saw more than a 20 percent decline in sales traced to social media over the three month period in comparison with this year’s first quarter.
We have seen much buzz about social media and you hear about it like it’s this giant promotion wheel, and then you see the performance and it’s not in line with that inflated sense of expectations.
Marketers are in an experimental phase with social media and are unsure of how to harness it to increase revenue, according to an IBM 2012 marketing survey.
Retailers thought they have found success with social media as a marketing and brand-awareness tool, by using social media giants such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube primarily to share marketing videos, product and lifestyle information, videos and footage from photo shoots to engage with its customers.
But many retailers starting to see that they don’t get that many sales from social media; it’s more of an engagement tool.

Will prices go up on Wholesale Dresses? Here is an interesting article for all you retailers and wholesalers out there.
Government Steps Up Labor Enforcement in Los Angeles at Local Garment Factories
Federal and state labor officials in California cracked down on garment factories in Southern California that don’t pay minimum or overtime wages and don’t register their businesses.
It launched on Aug. 7, when 10 teams of about 50 people from the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement and the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division inspected 10 garment factories that employed around 200 workers in the heart of the Los Angeles garment district.
It resulted in $217,844 worth of citations for failure to carry workers’ compensation and not having a garment license. Audits will be conducted to determine whether workers were being paid minimum wage or overtime pay.
The U.S Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will announce the results of this investigations at the end of 2012 but will keep up its inspections of garment contractors in Los Angeles and Orange counties for several years to come.
